From Fame To Ruin by Jina S. Bazzar

I received his book from the author requesting an honest review.

Newly famous rockstar RJ Santos is trying to navigate Heathrow Airport. The ever-present paparazzi have been covering him like a blanket. He just wanted to be left alone. Hat pulled down, he tried to become a face in the crowd. As he people watched, he saw a beautiful red head walking by. When their eyes met, RJ felt an electrifying connection. The lovely lady, Carol, was at the airport to catch a flight home. She was returning home to assume control of the family business. RJ approaches her and attempts to strike up a conversation. Carol is ignoring him. Due to a snowstorm, their flight is cancelled. What could she do until the next day?

Carol accepts RJ’s invitation to spend the evening having dinner at a local resort. They become better acquainted over dinner and after dinner they deepened their connection. The next morning they decide to spend the weekend at the lodge instead of trying. To find another flight. They begin to fall in love but the weekend is over. Carol must go home and meet with lawyers and RJ will go to his aunt’s house. Is that magical connection over? Can they find a way to continue this new relationship?

Jina S.Bazzar tells the story of RJ and Carol using flashbacks and current events. She realistically portrays the problems between RJ and Carol as a series of miscommunications. Both Carol and RJ are likeable characters. As the book progresses you really want to see them happy together. The story line is good and it is an easy book to read. The decline of Carol’s family business, while tragic, does little to enhance the story and could probably be eliminated.

A secret weekend with a gorgeous rockstar is dreamy and romance lovers will thoroughly enjoy this book.

My Rating: 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Additional thoughts: I was a kid when Donny Osmond, Bobby Sherman, and David Cassidy were IT. Tiger Beat magazine used to have these “Win a dream date with …” contests. This story reminded me of that time with a dose of reality hitting later. An instant connection with a gorgeous stranger sounds wonderful but I guess I’m just too practical because I just imagine how bad it will be when they go back to reality.

I will be posting my first author interview soon. Look for it!

May you and your family have wonderful holidays and cherish your time together.
